On a white disc, edged with a narrow gold border, a shield blazoned as follows: Per saltire Or and Sable, a saltire parted and fretty counterchanged.

From a wreath Or and Sable, between an olive wreath slipped, leaved and fructed Proper, a sphere Celeste gridlined and edged Argent (Silver Gray), overall a lamp Or, enflamed Proper.

Motto/Designation Band
Below the shield a red scroll, edged white, with the inscription, EXCELLENTIA PER SOCIETATEM in white; all within a circular black designation band, edged gold, with the inscription UNITED STATES ARMY above and CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES AGENCY below, between two stars, all in white.

Symbolism
The parted and fretty saltire alludes to the Agencys values of operating as a unified team and the importance of integrity through upholding ethical and lawful conduct. The counterchanging of colors further reinforces the unified team concept. The lamp is a symbol of knowledge, an invaluable resource made available to those in need. The lamps gold color signifies excellence. The flame serves as a guide and represents the passion of those who work for the Agency. The gridlined sphere highlights the world-wide reach of the organization. The olive branch wreath is emblematic of peace, characterizing the civilian side of the Department of the Army. The red scroll with white edging and lettering on a white field alludes to the scroll of the Army flag. The motto, EXCELLENTIA PER SOCIETATEM, translates to EXCELLENCE THROUGH PARTNERSHIP.
